AN ACT to authorize Edward Long to settle his
accounts as Guardian to John C. Barkley, and to
deliver over the estate to his said ward.

WHEREAS, John C. Barkley and his guardian are
anxious that his ward may receive all his property,
and act as a man of full age in relation thereto;
therefore,
|
Preamble.
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Edward Long, guardian to John
C. Barkley, a minor, be and he is hereby authorized
to pass his final account as guardian before the
Orphans' Court of Somerset county, and to pay
and deliver over to the said John C. Barkley all
his property, real and personal, and moneys that
may be due to him on the said final account, and
to take his receipt for the same, which shall be ac-
knowledged and recorded in the office of the regis-
ter of wills for said county, and have the same
effect as if the same was executed by a person of
full age.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That from and after
the passage of this act, the said John C. Barkley
shall be answerable for all debts, contracts and lia-
bilities made and entered into by him, and may
sue and be sued as fully as if he was of full age.

effect from the date of its passage.
