AN ACT to compensate Nicholas Brewer, of John,
for legal services rendered the State in the Court
of Appeals, under appointment of the Governor.

to pay.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer of Maryland he
and he is hereby authorised and required to pay to
Nicholas Brewer, of John, upon the warrant of the
Comptroller of the Treasury, the sum of one hun-
dred and fifty dollars, the same being in full com-
pensation for the trial of the case of Matilda E.
Green vs. the Comptroller of the Treasury, in the
Court of Appeals, as counsel for the State, by ap-
pointment of the Governor.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after its passage.

AN ACT to incorporate the Baltimore, Catonsville
and Ellicott's Mills Passenger Railway Company.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Hugh Ely, Thomas C. Miller,
George M. Gill, John C. Holland, James H. Stone,
David B. McLaughlin, Asa Needman, William F.
Frick, John Schofield, Darious C. Howard, Wil-
liam Clark, Charles Carroll, Upton Dorsey, and
William W. Watkins, be and they are hereby ap-
pointed commissioners to take subscriptions to the
capital stock of the Baltimore, Catonsville and El-
licott's Mills Passenger Railway Company, hereby
incorporated, and they or a majority of them may
cause books to be opened at such times and places,
and for such period or periods, and upon such no-
tice of such time, places and periods as they may
deem expedient, and may reopen the same from
time to time for the purpose of receiving subscrip-
