SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to amend the seventh and ninth sec-
tions of article ninty-seventh of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws, relating to the preservation of
Game, so as to extend the same to Harford
county.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That no person or persons shall
trap, shoot or in any manner catch or kill any
partridges between the first day of January, and
the first day of October, nor any woodcock be-
tween the first of February and the tenth day of
June, nor any pheasants between the first of
February and the twelfth of August in each year.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any person vio-
lating either of the preceding sections of this ar-
ticle, shall pay a fine of five dollars to be recovered
before a justice of the peace of the county, where

the offence was committed; Provided, that no
fine shall be imposed for killing, shooting or trap-
ping any partridges, woodcock or pheasants in
Charles, Caroline, Talbot and Worcester coun-
ties.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That sections seven
and nine of the article of the code which for-
bid and punish the shooting or killing of par-
tridges, woodcock and pheasants in the counties
therein mentioned, be and the same are hereby re-
