CHAP. 345.
Proviso.
|
commissioners of said county for said year; Pro-
vided, that the amount due for principal from said
collector, shall be paid on or before the end of the
present fiscal year; Provided, that the said sure-
ties shall not be released from the payment of such
interest as shall have been received by said collec-
tor, or such interest as may be due from the tax
payers or taxes now due by them, nor from the in-
terest accruing on the principal from the passage
of this act.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the day of its passage.

AN ACT entitled, an act to change the name of
Mary Jones, of Prince George's county, to Mary
Tuck Jones.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That from and after the passage of
this act, the name of Mary Jones, of Prince George's
county, be and the same is hereby changed to
that of Mary Tuck Jones.

AN ACT entitled, an act for the relief of John
Honesty, a free negro man of Loudon county,
State of Virginia.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That John Honesty, a free negro
man of Loudon county, State of Virginia, may and
is hereby at liberty to return to the State of Mary-
land, and thereafter be entitled to the same rights
and privileges and subject to the same laws as the
free colored population are now entitled to under
