trict, on receiving the ballot of each voter, shall
ask him what place of voting he shall prefer or se-
lect of the three places above designated.

CHAP. 338.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the clerks of
election shall record the name of every voter who
shall vote for either place and designate the place
for which he votes, and the place for which a plu-
rality of the said voters shall declare their prefer-
ence, in the mode indicated herein, shall be the
place at which all elections shall be thereafter held
in the said election district.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the clerks of elec-
tion, at the time above stated, shall certify the re-
sult of the vote hereinbefore provided for, to the
clerk of the Circuit court for Baltimore county, who
shall cause the said certificate or a copy thereof to
be published in one or more newspapers printed
in Baltimore county, the cost thereof to be paid by
the county commissioners of said county.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 338.

In force.

AN ACT to amend the sixty-first section of the
eighth article of the Code of Public Local Laws
relating to election districts in Cecil county, by
changing the divisional line between election
districts number three and five.

10, 1860.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Cecil county is divided into nine
election districts, according to their present bounds
and limits, except that the divisional line between
election districts number three and number five,
shall so run that beginning on a point on said line
where the road from Elkton, to Turkey Point,
crosses Plumb creek, it shall run in a straight line
direct to the spot where the road from Elkton to
North East crosses Mill creek; and elections for
all public officers shall be held in each of said dis-
