CHAP. 337.

weeks, for the purpose of receiving proposals fop
the building of the same according to said plan.

Authorised
to contract.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the county com-
missioners of Baltimore county and the county com-
missioners of Howard county, be and they are here-
by authorised, after the notice aforesaid, to contract
with any person or persons to build said bridge,
and to take bond or bonds, with sufficient security
from any person or persons, contracting as afore-
said, for the faithful performance of their contract.

Lowest bid
to be accept-
ed.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That it shall be the
duty of the county commissioners of each county
aforesaid, to accept the proposal of the lowest bidder

or bidders; Provided, he or they shall give suffi-
cient security for the faithful performance of his or
their contract for the same.

Bridge free.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That when said bridge
shall have been completed, it shall be a free bridge
for all persons to pass and repass.

Expenses.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the expense of
building said bridge shall be equally divided be-
tween the two counties.

AN ACT relating to the Eleventh Election Dis-
trict of Baltimore county.

Legal voters
to decide as
to place of
holding elec-
tions.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That at the election to be held in
November, eighteen hundred and sixty, for elec-
tors for President and Vice-President of the United
States, the legal voters of the eleventh district
of Baltimore county shall determine, by a plu-
rality of votes, whether the polls or place of hold-
ing all future elections in said district shall be held
at William Dampman's tavern, or at Joshua L.
Wright's tavern, or at Richard Kerr's tavern in
said eleventh district of Baltimore county.

Interrogation
of voters.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That at the next elec-
tion, as aforesaid, the judges of election in said dis-
