AN ACT appropriating a sum of money for the
payment of the claims of S. S. Dawson, Charles
H. Mann, the president of the Baltimore and Sus-
quehanna Steam Company, Montgomery Johns,
executor of John Johns, Reuben Summers and
John G. Hanshaw, against the State.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sum of two hundred and
fifty-six dollars and eighty-three cents is hereby ap-
propriated for the payment of the claim of S. S.
Dawson for excess of license erroneously paid into
the treasury; for the payment of Charles H. Mann,
for excess of license erroneously paid into the trea-
sury; for the payment of the president of the Balti-
more and Susquehanna Steam company for the
amount of judgment against the State for costs in
the suit of the State of Maryland versus the Balti-
more and Susquehanna Steam company; for the
payment of Montgomery Johns, executor of John
Johns, for amount of collateral inheritance tax on
negro Ben, set free by John Johns; for the pay-
ment of Reuben Summers, for costs paid in the
cases of the State vs. Anna Maria Forest and
others; for the payment of John G. Hanshaw, for
enveloping, directing and mailing the Code of Local
and Public Laws to the clerks of the several coun-
ties of this State, per order of the House of Dele-
gates.
