SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the name of Anna Elizabeth
Blowmerour, of Washington county, be and the
same is hereby changed to Anna Elizabeth Durn-
baugh, and that by the said last name she may
take, hold, sell and dispose of real, or personal, or
mixed property, may sue and be sued and do all
other lawful acts whatsoever.

AN ACT to incorporate the Union Rosine Asso-
ciation of Baltimore city.
|

WHEREAS, an association has been formed under
the name of the "Union Association of the Balti-
more Rosine, " in the city of Baltimore, to secure
from vice and degradation a class of women who
have forfeited their claim to the respect of the vir-
tuous; to prepare and maintain for them an asylum
which, by its system of religious instruction, shall
elevate their moral nature; to teach them how to
gain an honest living by the work of their own
hands; and eventually to render them useful mem-
bers of the community; and whereas, to enable the
members of said association more effectually to ac-
