1860,

county shall be put, and the same proceedings shall
be had in said action as in other like suits at law,
and if it shall appear that the neglect charged in
said inquisition is well founded, the said court shall
give judgment according to the nature of the ag-
gravation of the neglect, and shall proceed to fine
said president, directors and company in such sum
not exceeding two hundred dollars, which shall be
collected at other debts and paid over to the, com-
missioners of the common school fund of the county.

CHAP. 26T.

SEC. 15. And be it enacted, That it shall and may
be lawful for every of the stockholders or proprie-
tors to transfer his or her share or shares by such
deed and in such form as the president and directors
by their by-laws or rules shall direct, and if any
person shall die intestate, holding any share or
shares of said stock, the administrator or adminis-
tratrix of said intestate, shall hold the same interest
in said stock and be entitled to all the benefits
thereof, including the power to vote for officers of
said company, as the said intestate would have
been entitled in his lifetime, and shall be hereby
authorised and empowered to transfer the same, or
make sale thereof in his, her or their own name or
names, and the same shall be subject to the same
distribution or disposition, as other personal pro-
perty of said intestate.

SEC. 15. And be it enacted, That as soon as
said company shall have finished or perfected said
road, for a distance not less than three miles, com-
mencing for the same at Bentz street, Frederick;
the president of said company shall give notice
thereof, to the Governor of the State, who shall
thereupon appoint three skillful persons to examine
the same, and report to him in writing, whether
the said road is constructed in a masterly or work-
manlike manner, according to the true intent and
