AN ACT to compensate James T. Bricoe for the
trial of the case of William Billingsly and others,
vs. the State of Maryland, in the Court of Ap-
peals, by appointment of the Governor.
|

Authorised
to pay.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer be, and he is
hereby authorized and required to pay to the order
of James T. Briscoe, upon the warrant of the Comp-
troller, the sum of two hundred dollars, the same
being compensation for the trial of the case of Wil-
liam Billingsly and others, vs. the State of Mary-
land, in the Court of Appeals, by appointment of
the Governor.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to incorporate the Wyoming Tribe, No.
thirty-seven, Improved Order of Red Men, of
Uniontown, Maryland.
|
|
|
Incorporated.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Dennis Cookson, George H.
Routson, David Segafoose, Edmund Shapley,
Henry H. Harbaugh, and other officers and mem-
bers of Wyoming Tribe, No. thirty-seven, Improved
Order of Red Men, working under the charter from
the Great Council of Maryland, and their succes-
sors, be incorporated and made a body politic and
corporate, by the name and number of Wyoming
Tribe, No. thirty-seven, of Improved Order of Red
Men of the State of Maryland, and by that name
may sue and be sued, and have a common seal, and
the same at their pleasure alter, and entitled to use
the powers and privileges incident to such corpora-
tion.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said cor-
poration shall not be permitted to issue any note,
token, device, or scrip, or other evidence of debt.
