SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the number of
directors of the Manchester Savings' Institution be
increased to nine, to be chosen at the next annual
election for directors, in the manner provided by the

original act incorporating said institution; Provided,
that at each annual election of directors two of the
preceding board of directors authorized by this act
shall be ineligible for re-election for the next en-
suing year.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That so much of the
act to which this act refers be, and the same is
hereby repealed.

AN ACT for the benefit of Madison Gassaway, one
of the legal representatives of Henry Gassaway,
late of Anne Arundel county, deceased.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer, upon the war-
rant of the Comptroller, is hereby directed to pay
to Madison Gassaway, one of the legal representa-
tives of Lavinia Gassaway, the widow of Henry Gas-
saway, late lieutenant in the war of the Revolution,
the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars, and which
said sum of money shall be in full of all claim said
Madison Gassaway, as legal representative may
possess, for bounty land and rations, and money
expended by his father, the late Henry Gassaway.
and the pension due his mother, the late Lavinia
Gassaway.

take effect from and after the date of its passage.
