die, resign or refuse to act or remove from Worces-
ter county, the remaining commissioners shall ap-
point a commissioner in his place, so as to keep up

CHAPTER 197.

AN ACT entitled, An act to compensate John Cul-
len for services rendered and losses incurred in
the discharge of his duties as an officer of the
State.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer, on the warrant
of the Comptroller, be, and he is hereby, directed
to pay to John Cullen the sum of nine hundred and
sixty-eight dollars and forty-four cents, in full for
services rendered the State and losses incurred by
him in the discharge of his duty as an officer of the
State.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.

CHAPTER 198.

In force.

AN ACT to amend the one hundred and forty-sixth
section of the sixteenth article of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Prince George's county,
relating to the school fund of said county.
