CHAPTER 195.
AN ACT to authorise the Gas Light company of
Baltimore, incorporated by the act of eighteen
hundred and sixteen, chapter two hundred and
fifty-one, to increase its capital stock.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the capital stock of the Gas
Light company of Baltimore, may be increased to,
but shall not exceed two million of dollars.
|

In force.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the day of its passage.

AN ACT entitled, A further supplement to the act
passed at December session, eighteen hundred and
forty, chapter two hundred and fifteen, chang-
ing the commissioners appointed by the act of
eighteen hundred and fifty-eight, chapter one
hundred and seventy-eight, for cleaning out
Pocomoke river.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Cyrus L. Williams, Charles L.
Bowen, John Hall, John W. Dennis, of A., and
William Layton be, and they are hereby, appointed
commissioners in the place and stead of the com-
missioners appointed in the act of eighteen hundred
and fifty-eight, chapter one hundred and seventy-
eight, with all the powers, and bound to perform
all the duties of such commissioners.

property.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
now acting as aforesaid by virtue of their appoint-
ment under the act of eighteen hundred and fifty-
eight, chapter one hundred and seventy-eight, shall
pay and deliver over to the commissioners named
in the preceding section, all money and property
in their hands as commissioners, and the commis-
