CHAP. 189.

to the Governor their condition, and the Governor
and Adjutant General are hereby empowered and
directed to cause to be sold so many of the same as
may be found unserviceable and not worth repair-
ing, and report said sale to the next Legislature.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer of
this State be and he is hereby authorised, on the
warrant of the Comptroller, to pay to the order of
the Governor and Adjutant General the sum of
($70, 000) seventy thousand dollars, or so much
thereof as the Governor and Adjutant General may
ascertain to be necessary for the purchase, repairs
and inspections of arms, as directed by the forego-
ing sections, and that the same shall be disbursed
by the Governor and Adjutant General, and the
vouchers therefor reported to the next General As-
sembly of Maryland.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money to pay
William A. Spencer, Clerk of the court of Ap-
peals of Maryland, for fees due him.
|

to pay.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer, upon the war-
rant of the Comptroller, is hereby authorised and
required to pay to William. A. Spencer, clerk of
the court of Appeals of Maryland, the sum of nine
hundred and twenty-two dollars and sixty-two
cents, being the amount due him by the State, for
fees.
