AN ACT to amend the twenty-eighth article of
the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
County Commissioners, by adding thereto the
following sections, giving the power to the
County Commissioners to reduce assessments:

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That whenever any lands, in any of
the counties in this State, shall greatly depreciate
in value, by reason of the diminished value of
fisheries attached thereto, the county commissioners
may reduce the assessment so as to make it conform
to the fair value of the property.

AN ACT to incorporate the proprietors of Saint
Peter's Cemetery.
|
|
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, a tract of land, containing twenty-one
acres, in Baltimore county, known as part of a
tract called "Parishes' Fear, " was purchased of
John McClellan in September, eighteen hundred
and fifty-one, and used as a cemetery since that
time by the members of Saint Peter's congrega-
tion; and whereas, experience hath shown that it
