AN ACT entitled, a supplement to an act passed
at January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-
six, chapter fifty, entitled, an act amendatory of
an act entitled, an act to incorporate the Mary-
land and Delaware Railroad company, passed at
January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-four,
chapter two hundred seventy-four, granting ex-
tensions of said Railroad and other privileges.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That no stockholder, either original
subscriber or assignee, on whose share or shares any
arrearages may be due and payable, shall be entitled
to vote at any election or at any meeting of said com-
pany, unless the payments which have been made
on said stock, shall amount to the full par value of
one or more shares, in which case said stockholder
shall be entitled to one vote for every twenty-five
dollars which has been paid on said stock.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the annual meet-
ing of the stockholders of said company shall be
held on the second Wednesday of December in each
and every year, instead of the second Monday in
December as heretofore.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all such portions
of the acts to which this is a supplement, as conflict
with the provisions of this act, and also that portion
of the act passed at January session, eighteen hun-
dred fifty-six, chapter fifty, which requires the ex-
tension of the Maryland and Delaware Railroad,
authorised by said act to be completed within five
years from the commencement thereof, be and the
same are hereby repealed.
