CHAP. 72.

CHAPTER 71.

Passed Feb.
17, 1860.

AN ACT to extend the time for the commencement
and completion of the Baltimore and Potomac
Railroad.

Repealed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the second section of the act
passed at January session, eighteen hundred and
fifty-six, chapter three hundred and twenty-seven,
entitled, an act amendatory of an act passed Jan-
uary session eighteen hundred and fifty-three, chap-
ter one hundred and fifty-three, entitled, an act to
incorporate the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad
company, be and the same is hereby repealed.

tain time.

SEC. 2. And fie it enacted, That if the Railroad
authorised to be made and constructed by the said
act, passed at January session, eighteen hundred
fifty-three, chapter one hundred and fifty-three,
entitled, an act to incorporate the Baltimore and
Potomac Railroad company, shall not be commenced
on or before the tenth day of March, in the year
eighteen hundred and seventy, and shall not be
completed within four years from its commence-
ment, then the said last mentioned act, and the
powers and privileges therein granted shall cease
and be in all respects null and void.

In force.

SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 72.

Passed Jan.
23, 1860.

AN ACT to add a new article to the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws to authorise Jeremiah L. Pattison,
of Dorchester county, to erect and keep a gate
on the public road leading from Tobacco Stick,
to Taylor's Island.

Authorised
to erect gate.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That from and after the passage of
this act, it shall and may be lawful for Jeremiah
