CHAPTER 67.

CHAP. 68.

WHEREAS, William Brown, late of Baltimore city,
deceased, did by his last will and testament devise
and bequeath to his executors, Edward P. Roberts
and William H. Gatchell, their heirs, executors,
administrators, and assigns, the sum of five hun-
dred dollars to be invested by them, the interest or
dividends thereof to be paid annually to the Pastor
for the time being of the Universalist church in the
city of Baltimore; Therefore,

Passed Feb.
13, 1860.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the leave of the Legislature is
hereby given to carry into effect the bequest or de-
vise in the will of William Brown, late of Baltimore
city, deceased, in favor of the Pastor, for the time
being, of the Universalist church in the city of
Baltimore, and the executors, administrators or
trustees of the said William Brown, deceased, are
hereby authorised to pay over to said pastor of the
said Universalist church, the said interest or divi-
dends.

Bequest made
effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 68.

In force.

AN ACT to authorise the president and visitors of
the Baltimore Hospital to apply a portion of their
funds to the purchase of certain parcels of ground.

17, I860.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the president and visitors of the
Maryland Hospital be and they are hereby author-
ised to use and appropriated any portion of the
money appropriated by the act of Assembly passed
in the year eighteen hundred and fifty-eight, chap-
ter four hundred and twenty-one, for the purpose of
purchasing any lot or parcel of a lot or lots adjoin-
