same manner as other small debts are now recover-
able.

Construction.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That nothing herein
contained shall be construed as granting banking
privileges to said company or exempting their pro-
perty from taxation.

Reservation.
|
SEC. 6. And be it enacted. That the Legislature
reserves to itself the right to alter or repeal this
act at pleasure.
|
|
|
In force.
|
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

AN ACT, to refund to Joseph Wells, former tax
Collector of Cecil county, a sum of money er-
roneously paid by him into the State Treasury.
|

funded.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer, upon the war-
rant of the Comptroller, be and he is hereby order-
ed to pay to Joseph Wells, late tax collector in the
third election district of Cecil county, the sum of
nineteen dollars and seventy-five cents erroneously
paid by him into the State Treasury.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
