AN ACT to authorise and empower the commis-
sioners of Dorchester county to levy a sum of
money for the benefit of Samuel E. Collins a citi-
zen of said county.
|

Compensa-
tion.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of the county of Dorchester,
are hereby authorised and empowered in their levy
for county taxes in the year eighteen hundred and
sixty, to levy the sum of five hundred dollars for
the use, and to be paid to Samuel E. Collins, a citi-
zen of said county, for services in arresting Hugh
Hazlett, who escaped from the jail of Dorchester
county, when he was in custody upon a charge of
enticing and assisting slaves to escape from their
masters.

AN ACT to incorporate the Westminister Sa-
ving Institution.
|

Incorporated.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Nicholas Durbin, David Eng-
lar, Augustus Shriver, Joseph Shaffer, Jesse Reif-
snider, David Reese and William ganger, and all
and every other person or persons hereafter be-
coming members of the Westminister Saving In-
stitution in the manner hereafter mentioned shall
be, and are hereby created and made a corporation
