To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II., SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
edition), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Election held
in Charles County, Maryland, an Act known as Chapter 678
of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1949, was submitted
to the voters of Charles County, for their adoption or rejec-
tion under the provisions thereof, said Act being:

An Act relating to the licensing of coin-operated mechani-
cal or electrical amusement devices or machines in said
County.

AND I DO CERTIFY, That at said election 1,973 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 678 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1949, 1,034 votes were cast against the
adoption of the said Act, and a majority of the votes being
cast in favor of the adoption of the said referred law, it has
therefore been ratified.
