To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II., SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
edition) DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at an election held in Balti-
more County, June 6, 1949, an Act known as Chapter 643 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of 1949, was submitted to
the voters of Baltimore County, for their adoption or rejec-
tion under the provisions thereof, said Act being:
An Act to borrow an amount not exceeding Twenty-one
Million Dollars, to finance the construction, acquisi-
tion, improvement or extension of public schools in
Baltimore Co.
AND i DO CERTIFY, That at said * election 4,825 votes were
cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter 643 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1949, and 16,608 votes were cast
against the adoption of the said Act, and a majority being
cast against the adoption of the said referred law, it has
therefore failed of ratification.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto sub-
