To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, BERTRAM L. BOONE, II., SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section
203 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
edition), DO HEREBY CERTIFY, That at an election held in the
Town of North Brentwood, Prince George's County, May 2,
1949, an Act known as Chapter 602 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1949, was submitted to the voters of the Town
of North Brentwood, for their adoption or rejection under the
provisions thereof, said Act being:

An Act to authorize and empower the Mayor and Town
Council of North Brentwood to levy and collect a
special assessment, said money so levied and collected
to be paid to the Brentwood Volunteer Fire Depart-
ment, Inc., for furnishing fire protection to the Town
of North Brentwood.

AND i DO CERTIFY, That at said election 53 votes were cast
in favor of the adoption of Chapter 602 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1949, and 6 votes were cast against the
adoption of the said Act, and a majority being cast for the
adoption of the said referred law it has therefore been ratified
by the voters of North Brentwood.
