Contraceptives—Sale by Vending Machines

43B. It shall be unlawful for any person, -firm or corpora-
tion to sell or offer for sale any contraceptive or contracep-
tive device by means of a vending machine or other automatic
device whether or not such contraceptive or contraceptive
device is advertised as such or as a prophylactic, EXCEPT
IN PLACES WHERE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE
SOLD FOR CONSUMPTION ON THE PREMISES. THIS
EXCEPTION NOT TO INCLUDE RAILROAD STATIONS,
AIR AND BUS TERMINALS.

Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall
be subject to a fine of not more than $1000 for each such vio-
lation, and the use of each vending machine, or other auto-
matic device in violation of this section shall constitute a
separate offense.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1950.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Allegany County to offer certain public lands for sale.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Allegany County

BE AND THEY ARE HEREBYAUTHORIZED AND EM-
POWERED to offer for sale the following described land:

All that lot or parcel of land situated in the vicinity of the
Westerly Limits of the City of Cumberland, in Allegany
County, Maryland, and being the Southwesterly portion of
the "Allegany County Farm", and described as follows:

Beginning for the same at an iron stake set in concrete on
the Easterly line of the projection of Franklin Street and
