Courts of Baltimore City, and collected and received by
or through the said Sheriff, shall be paid by the City
Treasurer to the Library Company of the Baltimore Bar
for its use and benefit, said sum to the Library Company
of the Baltimore Bar not to exceed, however, in any year
the sum of Nine Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($9,500.00). This section not to apply to Queen Anne's,
Anne Arundel and Talbot Counties. No commission or
charge shall be paid to any clerk of the court for collect-
ing: and paying over said fines.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1950.

CHAPTER 39
(Senate Bill 103)
AN ACT to repeal Section 57A of Article 97 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Weights
and Measures," sub-title "Solid Fuel," as said section
was enacted by Chapter 673 of the Acts of 1949, and
to enact in lieu thereof a new Section 57A, transferring
the personnel, equipment and records of the Inspector
of Weights and Mine Scales (formerly with the Bureau
of Mines) from the State Comptroller to the Depart-
ment of Labor and Industry, transferring general super-
vision over the duties of said Inspector to the Depart-
ment of Labor and Industry and providing funds for
the salary and expenses of said Inspector.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 57A of Article 97 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Weights and Measures,"
sub-title "Solid Fuel," as said section was enacted by Chap-
ter 673 of the Acts of 1949, be and it is hereby repealed
and that a new Section 57A be and it is hereby enacted
in lieu thereof, to read as follows:
57A. All personnel, equipment and records of the of-
fice of the Inspector of Weights and Mine Scales formerly
