CHAPTER 22
(Senate Bill 39)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-
section (2) of Section 110 of Article 66i/2 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Motor
Vehicles," sub-title "Motor Vehicle Financial Responsi-
bility," relating to the restoration of a driver's license
to certain judgment debtors.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section (2) of Section 110 of Article 66 1/2 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title
"Motor Vehicles," sub-title "Motor Vehicle Financial Re-
sponsibility/' be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
110.
(2). The suspension required in paragraph "l-(a)" of
this section shall remain in effect and no other motor
vehicle shall be registered in the name of such judgment
debtor nor any new license issued to such person unless
and until such judgment is satisfied or stayed and the
judgment debtor gives proof of financial responsibility in
future, as specified by this Article. Provided, however,
that if the judgment debtor gives satisfactory evidence
that the judgment debt is not good and pleadable or ad-
missible in evidence under the provisions of section 3 of
Article 57 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Sup-
plement, as amended), together with proof of financial
responsibility in the future, the Department shall restore
any license or registration suspended because of non-
payment of a final judgment.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1950.
