and to the right of each set of said words. The voter shall
indicate his choice by making a cross mark (X) in one of
said blank squares. The County Commissioners shall appoint
the necessary officers to conduct the election with the usual
pay for such duties.

If a majority of the persons voting on said question shall
cast their ballots marked "For Licensing Certain Amusement
Devices", then this Act shall be immediately of full fqrce and
effect, but if a majority of the persons voting on said question
shall cast their ballots marked "Against Licensing Certain
Amusement Devices", then this Act shall be void and of no
effect.

SEC. 4. And by it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1948.

CHAPTER 14
(Senate Bill 15)

AN ACT to repeal Section 45 of Article 10 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dor-
chester County", sub-title "Cambridge"', sub-heading "The
Corporate Limits", and to enact a new Section 45 in lieu
thereof, relating to the division of the Town of Cambridge
into wards.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 45 of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County",
sub-title "Cambridge", sub-heading "The Corporate Limits",
be and it is hereby repealed, and that a new Section 45 be and
it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to read as follows:

45. (a) Cambridge shall be divided into five wards, bounded
as follows:

(b) First Ward: Beginning for the outlines of the same
at the foot of Gay Street;" (1) thence runs out to the middle
of Cambridge Creek in a due east course; (2) thence down
the middle of said Creek to its mouth; (3) thence out into
the Choptank River, N. 41 degrees 21 minutes E. to the middle
thereof; (4) thence down the middle of said river to the
western limits of the town which is a line located on the Great
Marsh and has for its beginning a cement bounder marked
on the top thereof C 1927 No. 1, thence S. 41 degrees 45
minutes West 3612 feet to another cement bounder marked
