centum (3%) per annum on any tax anticipation certificates
which may heretofore have been issued by said Board of
Directors to raise money for any or all of such purposes.
After the payment of said sum of Two Hundred and Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($250,000), the Clerk shall thereafter on
or before the 10th day of each month pay to the County Treas-
urer of Calvert County for the credit of the County Commis-
sioners all such fees. The receipts therefrom to go into
general funds and shall be used by the County Commissioners
for general purposes.

177B. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corpora-
tion to operate or permit the operation of any amusement
machine or device authorized to be licensed under this sub-
title or to permit any such machine or device to be operated
or played by any person under sixteen years of age or for such
minor to operate such machine or device. Any person, firm or
corporation violating the provisions of this section shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be
punished by a fine of $50.00 for the first offense and $100.00
for the second offense and shall have his or its license revoked
and shall not be eligible for another license for a period of
two years.

177C. Any person, firm or corporation violating any pro-
vision of this sub-title, other than Section 177B for which
specific penalty is provided, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of
$500.00 for the first offense and $1,000.00 for the second
offense and shall have his or its license revoked and shall not
be eligible for another license for a period of two years.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Public General
Laws and Public Local Laws inconsistent with the provisions
of this Act be and they are hereby repealed to the extent of
such inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That before the provi-
sions of this Act shall become effective, the County Commis-
sioners of Calvert County shall submit the question to the
qualified voters of said County at a special election to be called
by said County Commissioners for the date of Monday, June
28, 1948, at places to be designated by them. Notice of said
election shall be given by publication in at least one news-
paper printed and published in said County at least two weeks
before said election. The ballots shall be prepared by said
County Commissioners of said County and shall have printed
on them a condensed summary of the provisions of this Act.

Printed on said ballots shall also appear the words "For
Licensing Certain Amusement Devices'', and "Against Licens-
ing Certain Amusement Devices", with a blank square opposite
