(c) Said application shall be in writing under oath and
shall set forth the name of the applicant, a description of the
premises where such amusement devices are sought to be main-
tained, a description of the amusement devices sought to be
licensed, sold or leased and such other information as the said
Clerk may require. Upon receipt of a properly executed appli-
cation and upon receipt of the proper license fee, the said
Clerk shall forthwith issue an appropriate certificate evidenc-
ing that such license is thereby issued and the required license
fees are thereby paid and said certificate shall enumerate and
list a serial number for each of the devices thereby licensed
for said premises. At the time of issuing said certificate, the
Clerk shall also issue a metal plate which shall have stamped
thereon a number, corresponding to the number assigned to
the device on the certificate, which metal plate thereafter shall
be securely fastened to the amusement device in such a man-
ner as will be visible. All machines or devices licensed here-
under shall be kept and maintained at all times within the
premises of the licensee, away from windows and doors and
out of sight of the general public using the public streets and
thoroughfares.
(d) Each distributor securing a license hereunder shall on
or before the tenth day of each month report the name and
address of every person, firm or corporation residing or having
a place of business in Calvert County, to whom any such
amusement machine or device has been sold or leased by him
during the preceding month.
(e) All licenses issued under this section shall expire on
June 30 of each year. Each license fee shall be pro-rated to
the month of issue, but no refund shall be allowed for ceasing
to exercise the privilege of the license before expiration.
177A. The Clerk of the Court shall on or before the 10th
day of each month pay, first, to the County Treasurer sufficient
funds to reimburse the County Commissioners for the ex-
pense of conducting the special election hereinafter provided
for and thereafter to the Treasurer of the Calvert County
Hospital of Calvert County, Maryland, or to such other per-
son as the Board of Directors thereof may designate, all of
the license fees received by him under the provisions of this
sub-title until the aggregate sum of Two Hundred and Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($250,000) shall have been paid. Said
funds shall be used by the said Board of Directors for the
acquisition of property for the construction, equipment, and
operation of a new hospital for the use of the people of Cal-
vert County or for the modernization, enlargement, equip-
ment and operation of the present hospital at Prince Fred-
erick, Calvert County, Maryland, and for the redemption of
and payment of interest at a rate not to exceed three per
