testimony so taken and transcribed shall be for the exclusive
use and benefit of the grand jury and the State's Attorney of
the said city, unless otherwise ordered by the Court. In
addition to the compensation aforesaid to be paid to said
clerk by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, the said
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore shall make compensa-
tion to the said stenographer for all testimony taken and
transcribed by him at any coroner's inquest or inquests, and
when requested by the State's Attorney for the use of his
office, at a rate not exceeding fifteen cents per hundred words
of said testimony.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect January 1, 1949.

(House Bill 47)
AN ACT to repeal Section 275 of Article 81 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Revenue and
Taxes", sub-title "Retail Sales Tax Act", sub-heading "Re-
turns and Payment of Tax", said section relating to the
annual returns required of taxpayers under the Retail Sales
Tax Act
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 275 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-
title "Retail Sales Tax Act", sub-heading "Returns and Pay-
ment of Tax", be and it is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1948.
