12 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 6

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 41 of Article 65 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Militia", be and it is here-
by repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

41. All officers and employees of the State, County or
political sub-divisions thereof who shall be members of the
organized militia or of the Army, Navy, Air or Marine Reserve
shall be entitled to leave of absence from their respective
duties, without loss of pay, time or efficiency rating, on all
days during which they shall be engaged in field or coast
defense or other training ordered or authorized under the
provisions of this Article, or under any law of the United
States, during such time as they are on inactive duty training,
for not to exceed fifteen days annually; provided, however, if
any members of the organized militia are ordered to active
duty under authority of the Governor they shall be entitled
to leave of absence without loss of pay, time or efficiency
rating for such time while actually serving under such active
duty orders in addition to the fifteen-day period specified
above.

SEC. 2. And by it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 6

(Senate Bill 6)

AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to sundry gifts, bequests and devises
contained in the Last Wills and Testaments of certain per-
sons, deceased, and also to certain gifts, grants, sales, leases
and deeds made by various persons .to and for the use and
benefit of sundry ministerial persons, religious corporations,
vestries, educational and charitable institutions, churches,
denominations or sects hereinafter named.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of said General Assembly
of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared, given and
