equipment of said Company in the interests of the health, com-
fort and requirements of the people of the City of Annapolis,
to assume and exercise full charge of the development, mainte-
nance and operation of the plant as a municipal property, to
provide for turning off the water of all persons delinquent in
paying their water rents and the city engineer shall perform
such duties as may be prescribed or may be delegated to him
by said Mayor, Counselor and Aldermen of said City, and to
do any and all other acts or things as may be reasonably neces-
sary to the management, supervision and regulation of said
Company.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, -That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 567.
(House Bill 576)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arun-
del County", sub-title "Annapolis", said new section to be
known as Section 26A and to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 26 of said Article, authorizing the Mayor, Counselor
and Aldermen of the City of Annapolis to have sidewalks
repaired and to cut grass and weeds bordering sidewalks,
after notice to the property owner and to make the cost of
such work a lien against the property and to provide for a
method of enforcing said lien.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 2
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title "Annapolis", said new
section to be known as Section 26A and to follow immediately
after Section 26 of said Article, and to read as follows:

26A. The Mayor, Counselor and Aldermen of the City of
Annapolis, shall have power and authority whenever in their
judgment the public convenience may require, to cause side-
walks to be regraded, repaved, repaired or otherwise improved
and to cut grass and weeds bordering said sidewalks, and to
collect the cost thereof from the person or persons owning the
property fronting on any said sidewalk, and whenever the per-
son or persons owning the property fronting on any such side-
