Treasurer giving a corporate bond to said Board of County
Commissioners to be approved by a Judge of the Circuit Court
for said county in a penal sum to be fixed by said Judge, con-
ditioned upon faithful discharge of the duties of said Treasurer.
From the money so received the Treasurer of the Cabin John
Park Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., its successor or suc-
cessors, shall upon approval of the Fire Board hereinafter
created pay all proper costs, expenses, claims, and demands
and such principal and interest on any encumbrance on real
estate or equipment owned by said Cabin John Park Volunteer
Fire Department, Inc., its successor or successors, as may be
due, that are necessary properly to maintain and operate said
Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., its suc-
cessor or successors. Should the tax so collected in any one
year be inadequate to defray the said costs, expenses, claims
and demands such deficiency may be added to the amount re-
quired for the next ensuing year and be levied and collected
in the next year's taxes, provided the rate shall not be in excess
of that above mentioned.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That there is hereby cre-
ated a Fire Board to manage the finances of the said Cabin
John Park Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., its successor or
successors and to exercise such other authority as is vested in
it by this sub-title. Said Fire Board shall consist of seven
members who are registered voters, and residents of the
Fire District herewith created, to be selected as hereinafter
provided.

At least one member shall reside in each of the following
areas:

Area No. 1. The area bounded by MacArthur Boulevard,
Wilson Lane, River Road and Cabin John Creek.

Area No. 2. The area bounded by MacArthur Boulevard,
Cabin John Creek, River Road and Persimmon Tree Road.

Area No. 3. The area bounded by MacArthur Boulevard,
Persimmon Tree Road, River Road, Great Falls-Potomac Road
and Rock Run.

Area No. 4. The area bounded by MacArthur Boulevard,
Rock Run and Great Falls-Potomac Road.

Area No. 5. The area lying west of Cabin John Creek be-
tween MacArthur Boulevard and the Maryland-Virginia
Boundary Line.

And two members to be selected at large.

A registered voter in any area mentioned herein may be
nominated to represent his area on the Fire Board by written
petition of five registered voters in said area and the two at
large by ten registered voters of the entire Fire District. All
such petitions shall be submitted to the Secretary of the here-
