Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Somerset County", sub-
title "Revenue and Taxes", increasing the compensation of
the Deputy Treasurer of Somerset County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 365 of Article 20 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Somerset
County", sub-title "Revenue and Taxes", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
365. The Treasurer shall appoint a deputy, who shall per-
form such duties as the said Treasurer may require, and for
whose official conduct said Treasurer shall be responsible,
and who shall act for said Treasurer during the Treasurer's
absence; and the salary of the said deputy shall be paid by
the County Commissioners of said Somerset County, on a
monthly basis, and shall be such amount as may be determined
by said Treasurer, but not to exceed sixteen hundred dollar*
per annum.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

(House Bill 470)
AN ACT to add four new sections to Article 15 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Kent County", sub-title "Sheriff", said new sections to be
known as Sections 380A, 380B, 380C and 380D and to fol-
low immediately after Section 380 of said Article, relating
to the Sheriff of Kent County, giving him certain powers
and duties, providing allowances and fixing his compen-
sation.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That four new sections be and they are hereby added
to Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Kent County", sub-title "Sheriff", said
new sections to be known as Sections 380A, 380B, 380C and
380D, to follow immediately after Section 380 of said Article,
and all to read as follows:
