manufactured or grown upon such premises by said owner,
or signs which advertise the lot or parcel of land on which
located, as for sale or to let, and which contain no other
advertising. Any person, firm or corporation violating
this provision shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction shall pay a fine of fifty dollars ($50. 00)
for the first offense, and a fine of one hundred dollars
($100. 00) or thirty (30) days in jail for the second and
subsequent offenses, each day on which such violation
continues shall be considered a separate offense.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 438.
(Senate Bill 286)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-
section (g) of Section 29 of Article 39 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Fish and Fish-
eries", sub-title "Tidal Waters, " as said sub-section was
enacted by Chapter 709 of the Acts of 1941, relating
to the removal of fish net stakes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sub-section (g) of Section 29 of Article 39
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Fish and Fisheries", sub-title "Tidal Waters", as said
sub-section was enacted by Chapter 709 of the Acts of
1941, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

29.

(g) It shall be the duty of each licensee to maintain
his stakes in good condition, and promptly to remove and
renew any stakes that may be unsound, broken or liable
to go adrift. It shall be unlawful to permit or allow to
remain in the water any pound or net stake for a period
greater than thirty days following the removal of the net
or twine from each stake, or the discontinuance of fishing
of said nets.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.
