poration of Frederick by the erection of a storage reservoir,
and to provide for the levy and collection of all taxes neces-
sary for the payment of the interest on said bonds and to
redeem and pay off said bonds as they mature.

(House Bill 369)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 84
of Article 12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Garrett County", sub-title "County
Commissioners", as said section was enacted by Chapter 770
of the Acts of 1939, providing a maximum expenditure for
the necessary traveling expenses of said County Commis-
sioners or their agents, wherever incurred.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 84 of Article 12 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Garrett
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", as said section
was enacted by Chapter 770 of the Acts of 1939, be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to-
read as follows:
84. The County Commissioners of Garrett County shall re-
ceive for their services as such Commissioners, an annual
salary of Nine Hundred ($900. 00) Dollars each, payable in
monthly installments. The said County Commissioners or their
agents also shall be reimbursed for any necessary traveling
and living expenses, incurred while traveling for the transac-
tion of the proper business of the county, provided that a
total of not more than Six Hundred Dollars ($600) may be
so expended in any one year.
Any member of the Board of County Commissioners violat-
ing any of the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished
by a forfeiture of office.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health and safety, and having been
passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths, of all
the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
