bond shall be paid by the County Commissioners of Montgomery
County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the immedi-
ate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
been passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths
(3/5) of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

CHAPTER 394.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 42
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edi-
tion), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Regulations and
Restrictions", as said section was amended by Chapters 65,
115, 153, 166, 177 and 849 of the Acts of 1941, making it
unlawful with certain exceptions to sell any alcoholic bev-
erages or for any licensed dealer to deliver or give away such
beverages on Sunday in Washington County.

(House Bill 344)
AN ACT to authorize and empower The Mayor and Alder-
men of Frederick to issue and sell serial coupon bonds in
an amount not exceeding Twenty-seven Thousand Dollars,
($27, 000. 00) par value, and to apply the proceeds there-
from for the purpose of redeeming and paying off bonds
heretofore issued by The Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick
pursuant to Chapter 39 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland of 1912 and an Ordinance enacted and
ordained by The Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick, March
15, 1923, under the provisions of which The Mayor and
Aldermen of Frederick issued and sold Sixty Thousand
Dollars of bonds, for the purpose of increasing the water
supply and facilitating the distribution thereof in the Cor-
