(6) shall be without other means of comfortable support,
shall receive a pension of Three Hundred Dollars (f300. 00)
per annum, payable quarterly, from the County Commission-
ers of the county in which the teacher has taught. Provision
for the payment of said pensions shall be made in the next an-
nual tax levy and in all future tax levies of said Counties.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 1091
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Montgomery County
(1939 Edition), being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County", sub-title
"State's Attorney", as amended, relating to the compensation
of the law assistant to the State's Attorney for Montgomery
County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 1091 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Montgomery County (1939 Edition), being Article 16 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery
County", sub-title "State's Attorney", as amended, be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so as
to read as follows:
1091. The State's Attorney for Montgomery County is here-
by authorized, empowered and directed to appoint a Law
Assistant to said State's Attorney at a compensation of the
sum of Three Thousand Dollars (f3, 000. 00) per annum, to be
paid by the County Commissioners of said County, said salary
to be paid monthly. The said Law Assistant, who shall be a
member of the Bar of the Court of Appeals of Maryland, shall
perform such work in said State's Attorney's office and such
other work as he may be directed by the said State's Attorney in
accordance with law, and before entering upon his duties he
shall execute a bond to the State of Maryland, for the faithful
performance of his duties in the penalty of Twenty-five Hun-
dred Dollars ($2500. 00) to be approved by a Judge of the Cir-
cuit Court for Montgomery County, and the premium of said
