Commissioner resident in a road district shall inform the
Board of conditions affecting roads and bridges in said dis-
trict. The County Commissioner elected from the Sixth Elec-
tion District, or the City of Annapolis, shall be the secretary
of the Road Board, and as such act at its meetings. It shall
be the duty of the County Commissioners to make careful in-
spection of the roads and road work in the County, according
to rules to be adopted by the boards. For the duties imposed
by this section, the County Commissioners shall each receive
a salary of three hundred dollars per year in addition to such
salary as is now provided for them by law and they shall each
be reimbursed in a sum not to exceed twenty-five dollars per
month, for expenses incurred by them in their inspection of
roads and road work in the County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact,, with amendments, Section
466 of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title
"Sheriff", relating to the compensation of a warden to the
jail and to a night watchman for the jail and to wages for a
cook, and increasing allowance for food and provisions for
prisoners.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 466 of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel
County", sub-title "Sheriff", be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
466. The Sheriff shall be allowed a warden to the jail to
be appointed by the County Commissioners from whom he
shall receive a salary not exceeding Seventy-five Dollars per
month to be paid by the County Commissioners at their first
regular meeting in each month. The Sheriff shall receive an
allowance of not more than Twenty Dollars per month for
wages of the cook for the prisoners in jail and an allowance
of not more than Sixty Dollars per month for a night watch-
