of Section 152D of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel
County", sub-title "Assessments", as said sections were
enacted by Chapter 185 of the Acts of 1939; and to add a
new sub-section to Section 152F of said Article, to be known
as Sub-section (4) and to follow immediately after Sub-
section (3) of said Section 152F; and to repeal and re-enact,
with amendments, Sub-section (e) of Section 174A of
Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title
"Budget", as said section was enacted by Chapter 185 of the
Acts of 1939, relating to the salaries of certain employees
of the Departments of Assessment and Budget and to the
duties of the Director and the appointment of certain em-
ployees in the Department of Assessment.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-sections (2) and (3) of Section 152C and Sub-
section (b) of Section 152D of Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel
County", sub-title "Assessments", as said sections were
enacted by Chapter 185 of the Acts of 1939, be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
152C. (2) One clerk to perform such duties as the Director
shall prescribe and to receive an annual salary as fixed in the
budget, of not more than Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1, 500. 00)
payable in equal semi-monthly installments, and
(3) With the approval of the County Commissioners, a
Transfer Clerk and such assistants as may be provided in the
Budget, to transfer all properties on the assessment books and
to perform such other duties as the Director shall prescribe.
The Transfer Clerk shall receive an annual salary of not more
than |2, 500 and the Assistants such compensation as may be
provided in the Budget.
152D. (b) The County Commissioners shall appropriate an
amount not exceeding Thirteen Hundred Dollars (|1, 300. 00)
annually to be expended under the control of the Director for
traveling and other expenses of himself and his assistants in
connection with their duties under this sub-title.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That a new sub-section
be and it is hereby added to Section 152F of said Article, to
be known as Sub-section (4), to follow immediately after Sub-
section (3) of said Section 152F, and to read as follows:
