northeast side of Laurel Avenue, one hundred and four feet
to the Hopkins lot, and to the southeast side of a twelve foot
alley there to be laid out; thence northeasterly, binding along
the Hopkins lot, and along the southeast side of said twelve
foot alley, with the use thereof in common, one hundred and
seventy-four and five-tenths feet to the center of another twelve
foot alley there laid out; thence northwesterly, binding along
the center of said last-mentioned alley, and continuing the
same course along the center of that portion of said last-
mentioned alley now in the process of being condemned, in all,
one hundred and twenty-eight feet to the southeast side of
Fifth Street; thence southwesterly, binding on the southeast
side of Fifth Street, one hundred and sixty-six feet, more or
less, to the place of beginning.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Board of Public
Works be and they are hereby authorized to execute, or cause
to be executed, such deeds, conveyances or other instruments
as may be necessary to effect a transfer of the property de-
scribed in the preceding section of this Act.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
163 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Elections", sub-title "Compensation", re-
lating to the allowance for judges and clerks of election
for fractions of a day in Anne Arundel County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 163. of Article 33 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Elections", sub-title "Com-
pensation", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

163. The compensation of all judges and clerks of elec-
tion in the City of Baltimore, except in those precincts in
which, after 1939, voting machines shall be used, and in the
counties shall be increased two dollars ($2. 00) per day over
