398 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 360

Any legally qualified voter who has voted at any election in
said town on any question submitted to the voters shall have
a similar right of contesting the result of such election to be
exercised in a similar way.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

CHAPTER 360.
(House Bill 414)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Board of Public Works
to convey to the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Prince
George's County, a certain parcel of land at the intersection
of Laurel Avenue and Fifth Street in the City of Laurel.

WHEREAS, on July 30th, 1927, the Mayor and City Council
of Laurel conveyed a certain parcel of ground situated at the
corner formed by the intersection of the Northeast side of
Laurel Avenue and the Southeast side of Fifth Street to the
State of Maryland as a site for an armory; and

WHEREAS, said parcel of ground is not needed by the State
of Maryland for that purpose; and

WHEREAS, the City of Laurel needs said lot of ground for
the purpose of building a City Hall; now, therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of Public Works be and they are hereby
authorized and empowered to convey to the Mayor and City
Council of Laurel, a municipal corporation in Prince George's
County, that parcel of land conveyed by the Mayor and City
Council of Laurel to the State of Maryland by deed dated
July 30th, 1927, and described as follows:

Beginning at the corner formed by the intersection of the
northeast side of Laurel Avenue and the southeast side of
Fifth Street; and running thence southeasterly, binding on the
