Town of Mt. Rainier, thence following the present boundary
line of the Town of Mt. Rainier in an Easterly direction to
30th Street, thence following the West line of 30th Street in a
Northerly direction to the point of beginning.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all existing laws
relating to the Town of Mt. Rainier, and all existing ordinances
passed by the Mayor and Common Council of Mt, Rainier are
hereby extended to hereafter cover and apply to said annexed
territory as fully as if said annexed territory had been a part
of said Town of Mt. Rainier at the time of passage of such laws
and ordinances.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the Fourth Ward of
the Town of Mt. Rainier is hereby extended to include all of
the territory annexed by this Act.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

(House Bill 387)
AN ACT to repeal Section 40 of Article 22 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Washington County", sub-title "Bills of Exchange and
Promissory Notes", said section making Saturday after-
noon a legal half-holiday in Hagerstown.
WHEREAS,, Section 11 of Article 13 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), as amended by Chapter 225 of
the Acts of 1941, makes Saturday afternoon a legal half-
holiday in a majority of the counties of the State, including
Washington County, thereby making this section unnecessary;
therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 40 of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington County",
sub-title "Bills of Exchange and Promissory Notes", be and
it is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.
