CHAPTER 357.
(House Bill 390)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments. Sections
16, 17 and 18 of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Caroline County", sub-
title "Audit of Accounts", relating to the duties of the ac-
countant and the accounts, vouchers, books, and papers of
officers and agencies of Caroline County which shall be
audited.

CHAPTER 358.
(House Bill 391)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
195 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Montgomery County
(1939 Edition), being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County", sub-title
"County Commissioners and Treasurer", sub-heading
"County Treasurer", as amended, by Chapter 916 of the
Acts of 1941, and to add a new section to said Article, said
new section to be known as Section 195A and to follow im-
mediately after Section 195 of said Article, relating to the
appointment, duties and compensation of assistant Treasur-
ers and clerks.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 195 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Montgomery County (1939 Edition), being Article 16 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery
County", sub-title "County Commissioners and Treasurer",
sub-heading "County Treasurer", as amended by Chapter 916
of the Acts of 1941, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, and that a new section be and it
is hereby added to said Article, said new section to be known
as Section 195A, to follow immediately after Section 195, and
all to read as follows:

195. The County Treasurer of Montgomery County shall
appoint two (2) Assistant Treasurers at annual salaries of
Twenty-Four Hundred Dollars ($2, 400. 00) and Eighteen Hun-
dred Dollars ($1, 800. 00) each, payable in equal monthly in-
stallments and six (6) clerks at annual salaries of Fifteen
