HERBERT R. O'CONOR, GOVERNOR. 385

Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Prince George's County", to be known as Section 329A and
Section 329B and to follow immediately after Section 329 of
said Article, to read as follows:

329A. The Board of County Commissioners of Prince
George's County, Maryland, are hereby authorized and em-
powered to enact ordinances providing regulations for the
parking of motor vehicles in, and the general use of, roadways
in property owned by Prince George's County.

329B. The violation of any of the provisions of ordinances
passed in accordance with the aforegoing section shall be con-
sidered a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof before a
Trial Magistrate of said County, or other competent Court, the
offender shall be subject to a fine of not exceeding twenty-five
dollars ($25. 00) for each offense, and in default of payment of
the fine to imprisonment for not exceeding 25 days.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 354.
(House Bill 370)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
777 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, Flack's Edition (1939*), providing certain lim-
itations on the expenditures of the Mayor and Common
Council of Mount Rainier, Maryland; permitting the bor-
rowing on short term notes or certificates of indebtedness
for periods not exceeding three years to meet emergency
conditions, and providing for the repayment thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 777 of Article 17 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, Flack's Edition (1939*), is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

777. The Mayor and Common Council shall not in any one
year expend for general purposes of the Town, more money
than the amount receivable from taxes and the amounts they
shall have received from the road authorities of Prince George's
