CHAPTER 46.

(House Bill 39)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 471 and 472 and to repeal and re-
enact, with amendments, Section 474 of Article 27 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes
and Punishments", sub-title "Minors—Telegrams, Calling
for and Delivering".

WHEREAS, the provisions of Sections 471 and 472 of Article
27 have been superseded by the provisions of Sections 4 and
24 of Article 100 and are no longer necessary; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 471 and 472 of Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punish-
ments", sub-title "Minors—Telegrams, Calling for and De-
livering", be and they are hereby repealed, and that Section
474 of said Article be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

474. Any company or representative thereof who shall
violate the provisions of Section 473 shall be subject to a fine
of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than five hun-
dred dollars, or sixty days in jail or both, at the discretion of
the court, for each and every offense.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.
