SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 44.
(House Bill 37)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 104 and 105 of Article 21 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Con-
veyancing", sub-title "Defective Conveyances'7, said sections
relating to the validation of certain defective mortgages
made and recorded before March 15, 1904.

WHEREAS, the provisions of Sections 104 and 105 of Article
21 are duplications of the provisions of Section 30 of Article
66 and consequently unnecessary; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 104 and 105 of Article 21 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Conveyancing", sub-
title "Defective Conveyances", be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

Approved March 2, 1943.

CHAPTER 45.
(House Bill 38)

AN ACT to repeal Section 792 of Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Pun-
ishments", sub-title "Department of Correction", said sec-
tion relating to joint meetings of the Board of Correction
and the Board of Mental Hygiene.

WHEREAS, the Board of Correction no longer has any respon-
sibility as to state hospitals; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 792 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-
title "Department of Correction", be and it is hereby repealed.
