party committees shall not be accepted unless the candi-
date, except in the case of primary elections for nomina-
tions for the office of Judge, is affiliated with the political
party whose nomination he seeks, or which the candi-
date desires to represent as delegate to a convention or
member of a party committee.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and the same is hereby
added to Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
title "Elections", sub-title "Primary Elections", the same
to follow immediately after Section 235, to be known as
Section 235A, and to read as follows:

235A. No certificate of nomination filed or offered for
filing by any person seeking a nomination for office or to
be a delegate to a convention, or an executive or member
of an executive committee or managing body of a political
party shall be accepted or acted upon by any Board of
Supervisors of Elections, or by the Secretary of State, as
the case may be, unless such person is affiliated on the
registration records of his county or the City of Baltimore
with the political party whose nomination he seeks, at,
whose convention he desires to be a delegate, or of whose:
committee he desires to become a member. This provision
is to apply to all nominations made at primary ^lections;
for offices to be filled by the voters of the State, any county
or the City of Baltimore, congressional, legislative, council-
manic or other districts; and for all delegates and members,
of party committees elected at primary elections, but shall
not apply in the case of nominations made at primary elec-
tions for the office of Judge.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 335.
(Senate Bill 272)

AN ACT to add Sub-section (g) to Section 3 of Article 33
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Elections", sub-title "Supervisors of Elections", as said
section was amended by Chapter 811 of the Acts of 1941,
relating to the salaries of the members of the Board of
Supervisors of Elections of Allegany County.
