SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 256.

(Senate Bill 199)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 521 to 527, inclusive, of Article
4 of the Public Local Laws and Baltimore City Charter
(1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City, " sub-title "Fer-
ries, " said Sections relating to the Broadway and Locust
Point Steam Ferry Company.

Whereas, the Broadway and Locust Point Steam Ferry
Company no longer operates a ferry, thereby making in-
operative the provisions of these Sections; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 521 to 527, inclusive, of Article 4
of the Public Local Laws and Baltimore City Charter (1938
Edition), title "Baltimore City, " sub-title "Ferries, " be
and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

Approved March 31, 1943.

CHAPTER 257.

(Senate Bill 205)

AN ACT to repeal Section 543 of Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws and Baltimore City Charter (1938
Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Firemen's
Association", relating to appropriations to the Veterans
Volunteer Firemen's Association of Baltimore City.

-Whereas, the provisions of this section are no longer
