shall have power to hold the said court at a stated time of
adjournment only for the purpose of adjourning; any two of
them shall have full power to do any act which the said court
is or shall be authorized by law to perform, and any two of
them shall have power to hold the court on any day not named
in an adjournment, on the application of any person having
pressing business in the said court; provided, notice thereof
be given to all, and in such case the register shall record that
such notice hath been given.

Any one of the judges, in the absence of the others on account
of prolonged illness, or in case of vacancy, shall have full
power to do any act which the said court is authorized by law
to do, upon the filing of a stipulation in writing signed by the
interested parties or their counsel, that he so act.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 28.
(Senate Bill 62)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
220, 221, 222, 223 and 227 of Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-
title "Traffic Court", as said sections were amended by
Chapter 196 of the Acts of 1941, relating to the employees
and expenses of the Traffic Court.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 220, 221, 222, 223 and 227 of Article 56
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Licenses", sub-title "Traffic Court", as said sections were
amended by Chapter 196 of the Acts of 1941, be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

220. SUPERVISOR. There shall be certain clerical assistants
to the magistrates of the Traffic Court as hereinafter provided
for, who shall be appointed by the Chief Magistrate of the
Traffic Court and, after appointment, be under his supervision
and control. One of said clerical assistants shall be desig-
nated as Supervisor. He or any clerical employees designated
for that purpose shall have the power to fix the amount of and
